Our mission is bringing people together. Transport is one of the biggest challenges of our time: people travel to the same destination every day, but mostly alone, which drives up costs, congestion and unnecessary CO₂ emissions. Slinger connects people who are already headed the same way, to the same event, office or match, so they travel together instead of alone.
More than 150 organisations across Europe use Slinger for shared journeys: employers, event organisers and venues, and sports clubs. Rides are always peer-to-peer, between people who already share something, an employer, an event or a club.
Yes, the Slinger app (iOS and Android) shows you all your events, locations and groups. Organisations can also build the same functionality into their own website or app.
Slinger isn't an open marketplace like BlaBlaCar, where strangers find each other for long trips, and it isn't a ride-hailing app like Uber, which creates a brand-new trip. Slinger is organisation-led: companies, events and sports clubs use it as their own tool, in their own branding. Rides stay peer-to-peer, within a closed group of people who already have something in common.
